About Me

My name is Jon Portillo and I believe that with support, encouragement, and a positive environment, people gravitate towards health. My approach to counseling addresses four areas of the human condition - body, mind, relationships, and consciousness. This bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach provides a holistic platform to identify areas of awareness as well as potential imbalances. When one or more of these areas are neglected, we tend to feel disconnected, uncomfortable, anxious, depressed, or dissatisfied. The more this discontentment affects our quality of life, the greater our desire to make a change.

Making a change doesn’t mean that we have to change who we are. Positive changes allow our true authentic selves to come to the surface so we can live the life we were meant for. It can be in the moments when we feel that all is lost that we are positioned and ready for a new perspective. I believe that if there is still air in our lungs, then it is not too late to begin the journey towards healing, recovery, and growth.
